To mark the birth anniversary of Late Ajitdada Pawar, the recent Janseva Saptah initiative concluded on a high note at the Primary Health Centre in Gavhan. The three-day community drive brought together local leaders, medical specialists, and hundreds of residents for a dedicated public service health campaign.
Held from July 25 to July 27, 2026, the camp provided vital medical support to families from Gavhan, Ulwe, and nearby villages. Over the course of the event, attendees received free eye checkups, routine blood tests, and free cataract surgeries.
A massive blood donation drive was also organized alongside these services to help local healthcare facilities.
Community Leaders Support the Initiative
The initiative received strong encouragement from prominent community figures who attended the opening and supported the event throughout.
Key leaders included Santosh Kate, the Ulwe City President, and Balasaheb Borkar, Maharashtra State General Secretary.
They were joined by Bharat Nikalje, Abdul Mannan Deshmukh, Mushtaq Bhatkar, Udaybhan Patel, Ramesh Pawar, Siddharth Manavar, and Iliyas Kandekari.
Dedicated Medical Team Provides Free Healthcare
A dedicated team of doctors ensured that every visitor received thorough care. Primary Health Centre Medical Officers Dr Asmita Bombatkar and Dr Achala Patil managed operations alongside eye specialists Dr Varsha Deshmane and Dr Dakshina Kabadi.
The entire medical and support staff worked tirelessly across all three days to assist patients and manage the turnout.
